« on: April 25, 2012, 08:17:13 am »
I took these pictures within the last week..

They are changing into their summer colours, so that means they will be hard to spot in the moor..

some are more brown than some.. there was 6 on one day and only one the next day..

The one wae the most brown was the one on its own..

I'll show 10 pictures in two posts..

What a miserable day it was yesterday.. Well its good that I went out early yesterday morning before the rain started.. I was fortunate, as I could'nt get a good view of the Hare, until a sheep decided to jump over it and spurred it into action. lol .. please follow the photos..

I just got home from scotland on monday morning. There was no provisions in the house, so I went to the next village to stock up again. I went via the track along the moor, suddenly a mountain hare ran across the track and disappeared up the hill, so I decided that I would wait for a wee while and see if I could spot it.. I did'nt need to wait long as the hare was walking in the direction o the car..

It got about 20 feet from me, then sat down on the heather and looked at me, well who could resist, the camera was clicking like mad..

Here are eight pictures of the Mountain Hare..
