Tree Creeper..
« on: November 23, 2010, 09:57:54 am »
I took pix. of this wee bird while on holiday, two pix. were taken at RSPB Lochwinnoch and two were taken at Taynuilt Argyll.. very hard to spot them, you need a bit of luck and patience, they blend in so well in the foliage, the one in Argyll landed on a tree right next to me, they climb upwards unlike the Nuthatch, they climb downwards..

RSPB Lochwinnoch..

Argyll..

And a video from the BBC you might find interesting about the tree creeper..

I've only ever seen one George - it was at Lake Vyrnwy when I went to the RSPB place there! It reminded me of a little brown mouse.

In the birding world it is often referred to as a "Tree Mouse" Benjiesmum. :)
