Well to be honest Benji.. I got the ID from Hugh Harrop, the wildlife photographer, also Mark, the county recorder helps me also, the Barred warbler really pleased me, as I've never seen one before.. It has been around the village for the last week, the last time I saw it was yesterday morning.. only spotted a male and female Blackcap at Sandgarth today..

I think your own gardens are the best place to watch out for migrants..
I'll be watching tomorrow, as its going to be a day of rain..

I think i'll try Sumburgh head and the general area for birds today, i'll take my 500mm lens and my didgiscope mainly for far off birds.. fingers crossed I spot any..

I got some pix of the merlin today, its ringed, so might be one of Marks ringed birds..

Also got some nice pix of a blackbird in my garden..

I'll show them tomorrow morning, they have been finished in photoshop, and stored in photobucket..

Female blackcap in my garden, plus one small brown strange wee bird. it went into the honeysuckle, and did'nt come out..
The strong wind must be bringing them here..

Goldcrest [no photo]

Male Blackcap.

Warblers.. [possible chiffchaff]

Yellow Browed warbler [possible]

Warbler with yellow patch in wing..

I'll need to wait for an ID on them, when i've done..
