The R.L.Buzzards are back on Shetland, there are two at Laxobigging area, they are here two months earlier than the last lot were..

Yesterdays pictures were a surprize to me, as i spent most of the day watching them for ages, but they were so far away, for any local twitcher that knows the area, then look at the meadow beyond Bertie Johnsons house [from the Graven rd.]

The one I got in the camera was a fluke, as I did'nt see it coming towards me, it was following the burn, it then crossed the road and landed on the heather, I scrambled out my car, and took a few shots [handheld] then it lifted and disappeared up the burn..

Two of my pics were taken on the fifth [mobbed by crows] the other ones were yesterdays pictures..

Yesterdays pics..

Then it flew off up the burn..

This is a Meadow Pipit a few days ago, not the best o photos, but I liked it flying away from its post..

And this one is the Siberian Rubythroat, it was rather far off for my lens..

I had to sit down on a boulder or the wind would have blown me over, the visibility was awful wae the sea salt everywhere..

Well, George, I think you did really well to get those pictures considering the weather. It's always good to see bird pictures. Well done. Anne.
